nomnom is a food log. We keep as little as we can and never sell any of it. Here is exactly what we hold and why.

What we store

  • Account: your email, name and password hash (handled by Neon Auth), plus the handle and colour you pick.
  • Your log: the meals and items you confirm, your goals, saved regulars and a personal catalogue of foods you have corrected.
  • Photos and voice: photos are stored privately and shown only to you or to a circle you shared that meal into. Voice clips are transcribed and then discarded; we keep the text you chose to send, not the audio.
  • Conversations with Nom: saved so the thread continues across days and devices, and so Nom can look things up you told it earlier. You can delete any day from History.
  • Usage counts: how many photos and messages you used today, to apply plan limits.
  • Billing: if you go Pro, Stripe holds your card. We only store your Stripe customer id and subscription status.

Who sees it

What you log is private by default. Meals you share into a circle are visible to that circle's members (including photos, reactions and comments). Leaving a circle removes your shares from it.

To estimate calories we send the text and photos you submit to an AI model through OpenRouter. We do not train models on your data and ask our providers not to either.

Deleting everything

Settings → Delete account removes your log, photos, chats, circles you own and your profile, and deletes the auth user. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
